Town & City Light Pollution Petitions

Below are petitions you can help sign. It doesn't matter where you live--if you help sign a light pollution petition on the other side of the world, it just shows city planners that people all over the world care about the choice they make. Most of these petitions are with Change.org, and once you sign in, it will keep you signed in, making signing additional petitions a breeze!

If your city doesn't have a petition to stop blue-rich, white LEDs, consider starting one, and contact me so I can post a link to it here. Phoenix and Québec both started petitions and got their council members to listen. Please share your petition with local social media sites such as NextDoor, Facebook, Twitter, with neighborhoods, city committee meetings, council members, local astronomy, beautification, health and environmental groups, (or a University's Landscape Architecture or Urban and Regional Planning departments), and especially consider reaching out to the local news stations and telling them about your petition, as that is what usually gets the word out to many people. Help however you feel comfortable (anything is better than nothing!). Together, we can make a difference!
